Found the pic I was thinking of. It is the actual Team USA truck that Daphne and Jim drove in '95. The pic from the LR event says 1994 on the display sign, but the first thing written talks about Daphne being picked and making it through the selections. Not sure if it's still there, but a few years ago this was at the Irvine LR dealership. Note the convoy plate on the hood, too.

Awesome pics. This is definitely the same vehicle. In the 2nd picture you posted you can see the faint outline of where the convoy plate was. Also if you view the high res version from the 2012 pebble beach you can also see the outline of where the plate was.

So somewhere along the way it lost the driver's names, the convoy plate and switch wheels/tires

I'd like to hear the story behind the removal of the names. Same with the convoy plate. That's one of the key identifying features of the team vehicles. And in the garage picture they are the stickers that appear to be in the best condition. I'm going to send these latest pics (from the British show) to Daphne and see what she thinks about it.

I got a lead from the webmaster hosting the pics of the car show. There's not much he can do without the car's number in the show, but he pointed me to an indy Rover shop in Lebanon, CT. Which, coincidentally enough, is where Jim Swett lived during the Mundo Maya event. I'm wondering if this is still his truck...
