Looking for roof box with unique demensions

Looking for a box to semi permanently mount between the stock rails on my xterra. Thinking if i can find the right size i could also mount a couple rotopax on the lid.

Anyway, thinking something 30"w x 45"-50" l x 10" d would work and be fairly useful but i can't find anything in that size, i looked at hardigg, pelican and nanuk.

I would prefer plastic due to weight but steel would be fine.

Any ideas?

Two years ago I spent considerable time searching for boxes to mount to the roof rack of my Xterra. Aside from Thule and Yakima boxes there really wasn't anything that fit my needs.

I decided to go with a DepHep drop in roof rack basket instead of a box. The front half of the basket holds 2 Rotopax 2-gal. water containers and 2 Rotopax 2-gal. fuel containers. I had a gear bag custom made for the rear half of the basket by Blue Ridge Overland Gear. It cinches down to 4" tall so that it is no taller than the factory rack, but expands to 12" tall when loaded with gear for a trip. Another option would have been an aluminum gear box designed for ATVs, but it was smaller than I wanted. I also looked into custom aluminum boxes but they were prohibitively expensive.

Aluminum boxes?
Look into mil surplus? That sounds like a rocket or medical equipment shipping case size (roughly).

You may be able to get something fabricated or DIY build out of aluminum plate, too.

The only lightweight plastic cargo box I've seen that's somewhat similar to those dimensions is the Thule Sidekick

Not really what you're asking for, but you could use that and mount the Rotopax underneath it with some creative DIY crossbars.
