Looking into an LR3-what should I look for?

No doubt folks will agree that there was a DII Trail Edition that supported a rear badge.
From the looks of the badge, it appears to be the same badge.
My guess ... either there was a trail edition ... or someone liked the DII Trail Edition badge and applied one to your LR3.

Just sayin'.

Land Rover dosnt do their vehicles like that. Prices are set in England. Sticker printed at the factory. And sent straight to the dealer who buys the vehicles from LR not a middle man. If Toyota would cut out the middle man their prices would be alot lower and they wouldnt currently have dealers having unfair advantages over other. Such as Easteren Shore Toyota that is owned by the brother of the owner of Toyota SE. Seems to cause enough grief and lawsuits

Im not going to argue this anymore. Call Land Rover North America if you care so much and want to take this outside of a forum pissing match. I know what I owned. I know what it is.

if the OP is looking for the HD package, the usual tip off is the full sized spare tire. if it has the mini-spare, then it almost certainly does not have the rear locker.

good luck!

redmountainrovers.com in B'ham, Al. Kip and Bart great guys who are also MAR sponsors.

Good guys. Although I always say dealer first they seem to get good rigs. Several club members have trucks from them.

Rear bumper? I see a front bumper for the MKIII and nothing for the LR3. MKIII looks decent, but I think you would want a better breakover angle. Doesn't look like you gain too much over the standard bumper. Overall, nice design though...

Wish they had one for the P38...

My next truck will be an LR3/4 for the misses to replace our 4Runner...

Rock Rover build really good bumpers for the P38. I mean cad'd, lazer cut, jigged bumpers. Not to bad on the price either. Alan Bates is a nice guy.

The MKIII dosnt need a rear bumper. I have wheeled the crap out of a 06' and never did I have a issue with approach or departure angles. The nice thing about that bumper is its a real winch bumper. Not the factory A-frame mounted 9500Ti. Slider are also avalible for the MKIII. So with sliders, a front winch bumper and a nice set of M/T's you will have a very capible rig. More capible than a Land Cruiser and day of the week. Also the 03'-06' MY are very easy to work on. 07' plus gives you Terain Response and a better nav/interior. The nice thing about EAS is you have 5in of lift at your finger tips. Lengthen the sensors and gain more.

I had to get new tires for the 4runner so I'll stay with it for a while.

I went up to 285/70/17's and gained an inch or so and they fill the wheel wells so much better. I think this is about as much tires you can put under a 4R (4th gen) without a lift. It's my DD so going to tall on tires and lift just doesn't work.

I'm also looking into either buyer a new home or building so I'll hold on anything new vehicle wise until I(we) decide on that topic. There are some really good buys out there right now and my local market is picking up so ???

Now if I can just find a two car garage with a detached garage/shop or a larger three car garage that also happens to have a nice house attached to it-in the right school district and for the right price and -oh yeah- be able to sell my house for at least X amount...not too much to ask right?!
