Not sure if this has been mentioned.

I haven't checked specs or anything, but it sure looks to me like the 2011 Inifiti QX56 is the same as the 2011 Nissan Patrol. No diesel option.

Wonder if they will replace the Armada with a Patrol? One can only hope I suppose.

The new Infiniti QX56 is a larger car than the old Patrols used to be,
now considerably larger than the Land Cruiser and Range Rover.
It's in the same league, size wise, as the Cadillac Escalade.

Infiniti definitely de-emphasized the truck's off-road heritage.
The fancy hydraulic system that substitutes for roll bars, and
that frees up the vehicle's articulation when off-road, is only
available in a package that includes the 22 inch rims and the
50 series tires.

x 2 .... I agree, its so ugly ... maybe the Patrol version is less ugly (but the US won't get it), but the Infiniti version is like Madonna without makeup :Wow1:
