LR Mechanics

The biggest problem I have now I space. I have a pull through garage at my house in Kansas, but no such luck here. The community doesn't allow any sort of wrenching on vehicles in the driveway. I have the tools and know-how, just a severe lack of working space.

Welcome to rover ownership. I am a member of the NCLR club and it is a great group of people. Family oriented and gearheads alike. We have trips planned all year. This month we have a group going to Baja and also to Death Valley. Monthly offroad meetings at Hollister hills which is close to you.

You may be able to rent garage space from someone close to you. I haven't done hg yet, but it doesn't look too hard. Here is a link with step-by-step instructions on a P38 which is the same basic engine. You can also find a video of the change on the DVD "In Search of the Experience'.

Thanks for everything guys! Bought and it's up and running. Can't wait to hit some dirt. I'll be working on the NCLR membership, and hopefully I can get to some events soon!

I did my heads a while back. Hubbard's Machine on Meekland in Hayward did both for $350.

Address: 21030 Meekland Ave, Hayward, CA 94541
Phone:(510) 537-1885

FYI I'd recommend MIke @ WC British or Cerrone's. Both top notch.
