M 101 Delta Box & Solar Battery Charger Install

X Delta Box & Coleman Battery Charger Install:

I ordered a Delta Pro Box from Delta Industries for the front 'A' frame of the trailer. I will keep a deep cycle battery in there along with other items. I got the unit from Delta on e bay and saved about $60 bucks. The Delta box is polished alum treadplate, 33 inches wide at the back and comes to almost the top edge of the trailer.


In addition I picked up a Coleman CL 300 solar battery trickle charger, 1.5 Amp/Hr that I mounted on top of the Delta box. This will keep my battery charged durning times that it sets up between travels.

I use a similar set up on my trailer - Delta tongue box with dual 105AH batteries, Guest three stage charger/maintainer, water pump, 12V outlet, and a set of nesting tool trays. It is pretty slick.

Jimbo, what is the alum box on the right in the pic?

:suning: Well, thats funny, about 25 years ago, I built a Kit GT-40 race car (circa FORD 60's)-long story, but at that time, I bought several Polished Stainless Steel Battery box's and after using one, I had this one left over--

--It holds my trailer battery, fuse block, power outlets, DC conn's and my 700 watt inverter/battery condition meter, so the 45 bucks I spent 25 years ago, is now being utilized !!

--just for grins, here's the cleveland/ZF transaxle I used in it !!

What type of plugs does it come with on the wiring for the charge controller??

Do you know if you can daisy chain them for more watt output?
