M416 as a truck bed

Has anyone seen a M416 trailer used as a truck bed ?

I would think it would be nice and small and tucked in close.

Anyone have any pics ? or links ?

I am starting to consider this for my Hi-Lux.

Huh- not quite what I thought it would look like. I was thinking more of the TacoChaser look. Hmm. That one looks like a short 416 bed.

Interesting, but it looks short for my 85 Hi-lux.

Anyone else have pics ?

Can you post some pics of how you chopped it ?

Looks like you sectioned it to make it skinnier ?

M416 would look cool as a truggy bed, but I don't think it's work well for much else. By the way, what's the Jeep that they put the bed on, looks kinds like a airplane tug.

CJ10a Aircraft tug is pictured. CJ10's were available in Australia in the early mid 80's but never here in the US.

Thanks BBChris, looked like a CJ10A body, but I wasn't sure, was the only thing I could think of. Besides the horribly slow speed, they're built like BSHs. (The B stands for brick, just a hint.)

That 416 bed looks almost like a direct replacement for the stock Toyota bed.
The Jeep truck above looks to have a shorter bed.

I like the longer 416 option, do they typically come in different lengths ?

Yes, that is the idea. That is the ultimate bed for off-road duties.
I am just trying to figure out an alternative way.
