I just bought this week, and it's going to Box Manufaktur next week for a box and subframe. It will be a while to finish project.
Be very careful buying one. Many are complete rust buckets that have been painted over a couple times by now. I drove and looked a some that didn't appear safe to drive, but looked great in the advertisements.

Bought a MAN 18.223 about a year ago from Queensland. It was an adventure bringing it back home, currently getting the mechanicals sorted, new fuel tank installed, all the dry rotten hoses and blocked/broken/worn out bits replaced. It'll go into paint in a few months time, new cab interior afterwards, current wheels/tyres changed to super singles and few other bits and pieces.
Working on the box design at the moment, what/where windows and such will go, rooftop deck design. Still more work on this needed along with tank placement, heaters, electrical etc.

I think most members of this forum are from North America. MAN are rare as hens teeth here.
But trust me, if i could buy a MAN i would.

FYI: some people from Germany parked their MAN 6x6 Unicat camper in my front yard winter 22-23. They’re still hanging around North America. They report a very competent MAN dealer/shop in Hermosillo, Sonora.
In case you’re contemplating a MAN and live in US southwest.

Uk based - I've just acquired a 2015 18.250 and will be hacking it about this summer but I'd be pleased to share info on anything tricky. For starters I'm struggling to find someone to talk to about wheels...... I'd love hutchinsons & think my front is fine but can't work out the offsets on my dual axle rear setup. If anyone would like to offer any advice, it will be gratefully received!
