Manchester, England to Australia Overland in 1970

I was introduced to the sister of a friend the other day who was over visiting the UK from their home in Australia. During polite conversation I asked 'So how long have you lived in Australia'
Imagine my delight when she replied 'Since 1970. We drove there in our Land Rover'

It's a great period piece! Entry for Afghanistan: "The difference between here and Iran is amazing. It's a much more civilised and a really beautiful country"
