I am interested in this trip,it would give me an opportunity to visit my father ( San Diego / Tijuana area ), and my wifes birthday is on 9/10 so I will probably stay longer, are we planning to go to Bahia de los Angeles or would that be too far? I will have 7 days to play. However I am a player and open for part-time or full-time fun.:)

Here are some pictures of the area...:jumping:

We're trying to work this out so we can get max participation from those here that want to 'wheel / surf more than just the web
So, we're trying to leave SD on a friday and return sunday evening :sunny:
We'd love to have you along!

I'm interested..............

But I have two issues.

I need a truck that works!.......UG!

And I'm hoping to do Colorado August/Sept.

I'm just 40 miles from the border.....north county san diego......so no problem if the stars align!!!!!!!!!

I've been promised my truck working so many times.........and so many times it's just not working right.......that I should almost never look at this site again until my truck is working!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I only get intermitent periods of bliss with my truck.....unaware of the underlaying problems until later!

"somebody help me"...................!

Well, it would be nice if you could go!!!
Even if the "WonderRunner" is still in drydock I'm sure one of us here may need a copilot... or a trail lackey... :hehe:

We could use an experienced hand like you!
This trip is a great way for people here to meet and greet, and a great chance for new people here to try the "Expedition" thing, myself included!
:suning: :campfire:

It would be awesome if you could go, the more the merrier! :jump:

I'm interested, too. Sheesh, this stuff is cool. September 8 was Al's suggestion. I'm going to stay tuned.

Rock-n-roll.

Would that be Friday morning, or afternooon?

I can most likely duck out of work quite early considering the occasion... :hehe:

Whatever Al thinks is prudent for a start time, we'll leave it up to El Jefe... :ylsmoke:

I might be in!?

Sounds like some fun... I do not know my schedule that far away, but as time comes closer, I will know!

I really want to go, and might have to drag the wife along. She is begging me for another Mexico trip! :victory:

9/8 sounds good, and a good beach sounds great :camping:

:camping: and :suning: sounds perfect! Sounds like we'll have a decent turn out!

Maybe it'd be good to update the first post and possibly add some minimal requirements and some suggestions? These are just ramblings, I think 'el jefe' will have final call. Things such as a full size spare, 4wd, your own stuff to survive, mexican insurance...what do you think?

Great idea. I'll be the first to admit that I don't have a clue about what is necessary for a trip there -- even the most basic and obvious requirements would probably never cross my mind.

I might be up for a short weekend. This is the weekend AFTER labor day right?

Also, like others have said, get a 2m! Because, just like Al says, "CB radio sucks!"

:victory:

Al...very nice of you to volunteer. Hard to believe your free weekends don't start until then. Or do you have "secret" trips planned?
:p
