Would that be the Tdi disco that broke a rocker by chance? Shop in Kansas Jim Pendletons ? I got a call early one morning asking if I had any contacts in the area that could help a broken down Tdi. Just wondering if its the same scenario.

that would be correct sir.

It won't appear there's anything in the album. Each day has a link in the left hand column, though.

Here's a couple.

I keep seeing an awful lot of jeepers in the LRNR photos online. I sure hope those guys took some heat. God forbid if you showed up to EJS in a Rover. You'd be run out of town.

I've been to the last 3 EJS in my D1 and found it to be an enjoyable experience. I was not run out of town. Sure I took some good natured ribbing but once they see your LR can wheel then no problem. Most Jeepers simply don't know anything about LR's. Don't see very many LR's at the EJS but there are all kinds of makes not just Jeeps though most are. It probably helps as I am a member of a mainly Jeep wheeling club in western Colorado. The only LR in the club. Just show em you can run with them and one is fine. Seeing all the different makes and models at an EJS is a fascinating experience. Going to the huge Jeep Expo in Moab is amazing too. I've met a lot of great people at the EJS. The EJS is a great event that anyone in whatever vehicle should attend once. The only bad part is how slow the runs are as there can huge numbers of trucks on a run.

YES! on the edge of town on 191 they have a road block set up and check your diffs. you think it is a rope strung across the road but really it is the intestines of the guy before who tried to sneak in without being fully locked:Wow1: scary stuff man...

You kill me. I still gotta get those pics together for you and Josh. I've got a lot more of you guys that didn't make the photobucket cut.

AxeAngel, it depends on the trails. All of my pics of trails were run in my '98
D1 with no lockers and no TC(not that any D1 has TC). The only place I struggled a bit was on that climb on Fins N Things and that was mainly due to poor spotting. Once I slid over to a better line I climbed right up. I ran Top of the World, Poison Spider, Fins, and Hell's Revenge. The only obstacles I didn't due were on Hell's, those being the Escalator and Micky's Hottub. Mainly because I didn't want body damage, and the buggy we were with didn't make the escalator so I figured I'd pass.
Other trails lockers are really helpful but can be passable if you're with someone willing to winch/tow you in a couple spots.

Hopefully by next year I will be able to lock the front and join you guys. I dont want to be the one that slows everyone down by getting winched all the time. Lets hope a TT is enough, I cant justify the expense of an ARB over a TT
