I have a question, can anyone tell me what the two black straps that are hooked to the aluminum poles inside the tent is for?? You can see them in the below photo, the bottom picture. In the photo, they are just laying on the mattress, but the ends of them are stitched together with two loops each so I assume they are for something? My instruction manual didnt say anything about them.

There are also 4 "rings' around each side window (inside), what are these for? They do not hold the netting or the flap, they are in addition to those holders.

Neither question is earth shattering, just curious. I stared at these items for a while, and I cant figure it out.

James the black straps are to grad to assist your entry into the tent.

yep, although I never use mine. I should remove them to save weight.

That's a mighty fine looking rig on that bottom right hand corner

..And the loops inside are so you can bungee cord through it and have the tent pull tight when folding.

Gregny, thanks. That makes perfect sense now that you point it out.

SOCALFJ, thank you. You actually answered a question I forgot to ask...."what is this bungee cord setup with the snap hooks used for..." Now I see said the blind man.

Yep, Those straps are to help youngsters or folks needing assistance something to grab onto to as they climb into the tent. themselves into the tent.

I tuck the foot of my mummy bag under them to keep them from bunching when I close the tent.

There are 4 black rings with Tan straps around the windows for the bungees. I recomend tightening the bungees.
