I am going the 33 10.5 route as well when I need new tires. Or, I was thinking about some interco narrow SS that come in 34 9.5 15. Only thing is that they are bias ply.

I remember when I installed my rear locker and I was cursing my tiny little jack that didn't half work. Not a fun job at all to do by yourself on the ground....

So this afternoon (translation: ALL DAY) I got the rear spacers installed. What a pain. I also removed the rear sway bar with out cutting it in half. That seemed too hamfisted. Who knows, I may want to put it back on someday.

Yeah it was a PITA to replace my rear coils a few months back! It was also a challenge to get the sway bar out in one piece (kinda like figuring out a rings puzzle).

How's the eBay ladder? I was looking at one last night that is $205 w/ free shipping but wasn't sure of the quality.

The ladder I got was @ $100 more, has the twist look like jaos. Ladder quality is pretty good. Not perfect. Brand on box said " wimblo" and came from direct 4x4 in UK. my only gripe is the instructions were kind of vague, one generic schematic and the mounting bolts were low grade. I bent one tightening it down. Today I'm going to hardware store and replacing nuts, bolts and washers with stainless so rust won't be an issue.
As for the ladde, it is solid, once mounted. I also like having a "refrigerator" handle for rear door. I'm pretty tall and easier on my back being able to push/pull door high up than the hatch handle location. Sounds funny, buy that's what I noticed after I put it on :)

I have a gen I. The DI/II ladder can be found on the web for $100-$150 new & I am sure it could be had for a lot less used. :ylsmoke:

Moar!

Found a good deal on a car hat on CL. Just picked it up this A.M. on my way to work. Puttn' it on tomorrow. Pics to follow:elkgrin:

Yakima Loadwarrior
Yakima Loadwarrior 18" extension
Yakima Locking clamps w/keys (new)
Yakima Loar bars, pr
Yakima Stretch cargo net

Put it together with the extension and set it on the roof. It is exactlu as long as the stock roof rack rails.

Plans for rack include:
Hi-Lift jack mount
Shovel mount
2pr lights in front (hella 500 driving and 500 fog)
1pr lights in back.

As for wiring the lights, What I would like to do is run the wires in the tubes of the rack, then use some sort of weather proof plug so I can remove the rack (lights and all) and simply "unplug it".

I would like to run a HOT line to the rear cargo area and mount a fuse block on the back. Have the wires run up the rear door seal and attacjh to the rack in the passenger back door corner. It is the least conspicous place. I really dont want to go drilling any holes in my roof.... even though I did for the wing, LOL!

Any suggestions for the plugs and fuse block. Locations?

Any advise or suggestions are greatly appreciated!

I have 5 holes in my roof. I'm not too worried though considering I used 3m 5200 marine sealant on them. This stuff will outlast the roof. I used it to attach a transducer to the hull of my boat so I wouldn't have to put holes in it. The transducer has been beat so bad that I have had to bend it back straight. The 5200 sealant has held no matter what. Do some research and I am sure you may change your mind about drilling a hole and using this stuff to seal it. It's about 17 dollars for a tube, but very well worth it!

I'm sure it works great. It's just that I want to be able to remove it if need be, and not have wires sticking out the top :)

Here are some pics of the Yakima LoadWarrior Basket with the 18" extension and cargo net. Just about perfect fit:elkgrin:

Next on the list are the high lift and shovel mounts and lights.

Yes...for now. Will get proper towers and crossbars when funds permit. it is pretty secure, though I wouldn't really load it up then jam down the freeway, lol!
Secure enough for some camping gear, tire, cooler and jack tho. Main purpose is to get stuff out of the cabin to allow more room for kids and dog and not have stuff piles up on them. :)

Gotcha. I'd be careful loading too much up there, I can flex the crossbars by hand on mine.

Not muc flex going on here tho. It attaches close to the ends of the bars Lott if any flex there) and the rack is pretty solid, too. I was using and pilling on it after I mounted it. I'm about 235 and only after really putting my weight into it I could barely notice the rails that mount to the truck flex, but only ever so slightly side to side.
