My LC obsession started in the fall of 2011. I have owned multiple Toyotas, 4runners, new Tacoma's, and as of recent a 2007 FJC. With my wife and I expecting it was (as seems to be a common trend) time to upgrade to a full sized family Toyota..

FJ prior to buying the LC:

.
.
I searched high and low and struck out multiple times on my LC search. I took out a few auto loans only to turn back in my check on strike out rigs. My old man and myself even made a trip from Fayetteville, AR to Lincoln, Nebraska and back in a single day on a failed attempt to pick up the right 100 Series. It was getting to be a chore real quick..
.
.
Finally my best friend who had recently moved out to Denver called me up on a lead for a nice 2003 Hundred series for sale in his neighborhood of Englewood. After multiple phone calls, carfax and Autocheck reports I had my plane ticket and a fat check in hand. I was all in on this attempt.
.
.
The next day after a full inspection and a trip to Groove Toyota I was the new owner of a 110K mile 2003 Galactic Gray Mica Hundred series!
.
.
Later that same day the factory running boards were removed and we were off for a outing to red rocks, Mt Evans and a few local trails..

The next morning I stumbled into a local Offroad shop that just so happened to have a new set of sliders for my LC100... Coincidence I suppose... :) (First of many expensive stops here)

My good buddy and I explored and enjoyed the good life in the mountains for a few days waiting on my old man to fly out to DEN to start a little father/son fun..

My Old man flew in and we were off. Moab Utah bound by way of Independence pass.

We had to watch ourselves in Moab a little bit with a darn near bone stock rig on half worn out road tires but we were making the best of it as long as we were west of the Rockies. :sombrero:

Looks great. Very much to the point, which I like. Hopefully the 03 tundra I just got will end up as nice. Good work.

Very simple, and clean looking 100 series. Nice job!

Is that an OME suspension system you're running?

After a few days and a couple nights in Moab it was on to Ouray. Unfortunately with flying in to Denver to purchase the LC I had no camping gear so this trip was 100% hotel living. We still had a amazing time.

Arrived in Ouray and we were off..

80% of the Alpine Loop later and I was ready to stay in Colorado..... (no seriously, were planning on moving out to the Rockies as soon as possible as life would allow)

Official purchase test run was complete. It was a 12 or 14 hour drive back home with a LC I was absolutely pleased with.. Now let the build begin

Very very clean 100!!! And the bit where you said your gonna focus mainly on maintenance and stop spending money on fun stuff is funny!! Good luck with that! Im glad you went with the arb front over the slee, looks alot better! Nothing against slee or anything. Rack looks awesome in black too!

Fast forward about 6 months to one of my favorite installs. I wish I would have taken pics of it coming off the truck on a massive double pallet.. Oh well

And a few out and about pics with the new bumper. I believe Ar, Ok, and Ks are represented in these pictures.....

Do you get a lot of wind noise from the Fox Wing awning on the freeway? I am very interested in that awning but wonder about the height of the "package" when it is closed up and you are running down the road...Yours looks a bit lower than some mounts of that I have seen...did you use custom mounts or are those the ones supplied by Fox Wing?

Thanks for any help...still wondering about your blue paint job...stock or custom....very nice!
