Do you feel you will stick with those HIDs or would you rather have gotten a pair of D2s or a 10inch Ridig light bar? Do think there would be a significant difference in usable light for over landing purposes?

In my experiences the HID lighting systems work much better for overlanding type situations. LED is fine for lighting up camp sites or rock crawling.

Donny I'm not really a fan of LED light bars, as I've seen plenty of disappointing results with various brands, and was determined to get a set of D2 Dualys. I found these HID lights dirt cheap on Ebay and thought they'd do the job for a while.
The light from these HID's isn't perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but they have a good spread and brighten up the important areas, and I don't do a lot of night driving anyway.

Further down the track I'll probably end up with a good set of LED driving lights.

I added a pair of dually D2. Today I would probably go for a cheaper ones via www.aliexpress.com ???

Anyway, the dually rocks. I am a slow driver so I dont need so much distance more the spread.
