My '52 M100 Trailer Build

I'd like to, but that will require swapping the axle to account for the bolt pattern, tire/rim width and offset, and probably getting custom fenders for coverage. AEV makes some large center bore wheels that would match, but with a bolt pattern that matches the trailer, but it's not worth it if I can't share the spare. I'd also have to reconfigure the lunette since I'd have to go spring-over if I were to matching 35's, and that didn't work with my current hitch height and interfered with my spare. So maybe some day, but between work around the house and the trailer build, the coffers are dry at the moment!

Well, here's an updated pic. The plus of storing the project with my parents... My father likes to keep busy, so yesterday he got our work from Friday cleaned up. Remove a piece, clean an prep it, clean and prep the tub behind it, reassemble and paint. I'll be building my harness this week, and my tail lights and Sahara Tan paint should arrive this week as well. Hopefully I'll get it wrapped up on Labor Day and it will finally be on the road!

And the paint, tail lights and 4-wire harness that I'll build from have all shipped. So I should be able to wrap it up and with one more day's efforts and hope to be towing it home on Labor Day!

Very easy... Of course I just had a 1 mile trip to Town Hall. Bill of sale, and $25 for 2 years and I'm good to go. Out of state sounds easy, too, but wasn't an issue for me.

Well, my final parts orders have come in... My Three 5 oz cans of Mopar Sahara Tan spray touch up paint, a 4-way trailer harness and early CJ round tail lights. The only other thing I need to pick up locally are some safety chains and heat shrink for the harness. I'm still planning on wrapping things up on Labor Day... Fingers crossed.

Well, the trailer is home. Today didn't go as well as I hoped, but it all came together in the end.

Hooked up and ready to go!

The Mopar touch up cans didn't cover as well as I hoped, so I grabbed a few cans of Rustoleum Almond to get coverage over the primer. Two cans got me two coats and covered pretty well. Then the three cans of Mopar Sahara Tan got me a coat plus areas of touch up. The Almond was a little light, which worked out well because it gave me the contrast to know if I was covering well. Then I took care of the wiring and got the lights working. Finally I got the new reflectors on which I left OD, and the license plate.

Anyway, Phase I is complete. I'm going to start planning a lid for Phase II.

Thanks to everyone for their posts, either in my thread or all the other threads out there.

A black tarp would be a good idea. I'm just not sure where I'd need the grommets on a custom tarp. I did find the tarp dimensions for the M100. It would certainly tide me over until I can build my hard lid.

And I just realized I do need to paint my tarp tie down hooks and handles.

I carry a before and after picture in the truck, Many People don't ever consider the work you have in the trailers.
They are shocked to see the work done..
