My Polynorm (Bantam clone)

I've got a Dutch Polynorm trailer from the 1950s, that has been hiding out in the garage a couple of years. In the beginning of this week it looked like this:

I've pulled it out from the rather awkward position it was in:

Now I've decided that it has to be ready for the summer, so I've started pulling it apart. I've stripped out the electrics and taken the wheel arches and lunette off. This is how the suspension looks:

I got a quote for sandblasting and spraying, and during lunch today I took the lunette mount to a welder to get a 50 mm box section welded in instead. Due to legislation here in Norway I have to use a 50 mm ball and socket (is that what it's called in English?)

Now I have to rewire, find some suitable tyres and lights and get the frame and tub blasted and painted.

I will use the new European standard 13-pin trailer hookup (see guide here). It has goodies like reversing lights and continuous power for batteries.

I will use it simply as a trailer this summer. Later I will think about modifications.
