Hey David- I will be in Clemson Sunday- would be great if we could chat for a few minutes, look at the decals and flares- and of course hear the monster within. Got your call, just been crazy here- let me know if Sunday is possible, noonish??
Very cool about the CT son, though not familiar with him, sorry.

unfortunately pretty doubtful I will be in the Clemson area....I have a bunch to haul back to Atlanta from Highlands. Let me know if you have any plans to be in NGeorgia anytime soon - I would like to hook up and show you the new ride

Update 8/13

Motor has been absolutely great! I had a initial issue with harmonic balancer that was shaved a slightly too much (accident - Steve was not happy that this occurred but made it all right) and caused a slight oil leak. We (The Shop) put a slightly used one back on and Steve stepped up and sent me another machined one now on the shelf (to be put on soon). So No more leaks ...and I mean no more leaks anywhere! Drive train, tranny diffs.. etc....

I have put probably 600+miles on the motor which only gets VR1 10-30 Valvoline Non Synth (high Zinc) for the first 6k miles and it pulls great with the upgraded cam shaft, seems to get better and better with more miles. I also am now enjoying the upgraded brakes slotted/dimpled EBC rotors and Ackemo pads and they have gotten better with more miles as well. Also the ceramic coated exhaust manifold from Cannibal really helps dissipate heat quicker than a stock manifold (a well worth it addition)

Anyway I could not be happier with this decision. I could not be happier with Steve and Cannibal - top notch customer service and follow up! .....Well maybe TDI but that was more expense and more complicated than I wanted. For anyone like me that is sick and tired of the Stock motor oil issues, noise issues, head gasket issues and slipped sleeve issues this motor from Cannibal is the ****! Not cheap but finally a Bullet proof set up....this is the way they should have come from the factory....0 I also added a huge 950 CCA AGM battery to help keep my lights and winch going strong as well. New fender flares are going on next week as well. Finally a happy camper .....

Ashcroft 4.12 Lockers mated to a ARB compressor (mounted in the rear passenger compartment) and Ashcroft HD axles and half shafts added. Here is pic of locker switches and Dirty Parts 4 panel plate. This is mounted on center ceiling top panel

I also added Bush Cables Limb risers and Fisker tools installed and mounted on Diamond Rax Lockable 4in Fisker tool and HiLift jack mounts.- relocated the Hilift to the top side (the weight was not keeping my rear hatch air and water tight) needed something for the passenger side

updated pics with my buddies 1999 Kalahari

Thanks Jay - I just had the exhaust modified as well on the Trek. I cut the oem muffler and resonator off, added a Magnaflow medium loudness muffer, added back the loop and new exhaust tip. I sounds much better seems to have slightly more oooomf, but most importantly is high enough where resonator was, is out of the way so not to be a anchor when wheeling. I am going to try new limbrisers as the Stainless closed body jaw/jaw turnbuckles are a PITA to get off quickly to access the hood. Going with Camel Trophy Style that should be quicker to remove. http://www.bushcables.com/camel-trophy-set/
