how's the quality on the Powerful rear bar? Saw some of their early ones and they were, um, interesting but from what I've heard their quality is heaps better now.

Maybe I need an insurance claim to get the paintwork looking good again :D

Lets call a spade a spade. I looked at them too when they were first released and they were a piece of crap. The second gen ones are far better designed and made.
So far so good.
The quality of the finish is nowhere near an ARB or Kaymar but I dont see the value in spending $4K to carry a second tyre! Carried one on teh roof for years without issue.
My main requirement was to replace the flimsy POS plastic rear bumper and pop out taillights.
