Hey guys, I'm a first time poster and I just joined. I know that when you need help with stuff that forums are an awesome place. I am 16 and my dad got me a 1989 Mitsubishi Montero. I'm happy with it, but both me and my dad wanted to do some stuff to it, such as matte green paint, matte black (where there is black) and an overhead box for light switches. I want to add a rear ladder also. I do want to make the turn signals and brake lights LED and add a third brake light.

Lol, I have been wanting to go off road with it but my dad wants to redo all of the front end (bushings, check oil in front transaxel, bearings, greasing stuff etc) and he wants to replace all the shocks. The transfer case was leaking a little but it went away. also the drum brake in the back had a piece stuck in the back, after driving and letting it cool down as you put it into drive it would sorta break free and i feel it caused some things to get loose. have to check the transfer case, engine and transmission mounts too. but i really want to take it off road and make it shine agains my friends jeep wrangler (4 CYL!!!)

and just today we replaced the stereo (which was already replaced) with a touchscreen sony one, gladly the wires for the old radio were easy to figure out because the monteros stock wires were different (yellow always on, red ignition, speakers). Ours actually has round speakers in the door (bought it like that) and we replaced them too, i plan on wiring in the dash speakers too and replacing them. I also need to rewire the relays for the rack and fog lights. They also made the front doors electric lock but didnt do the back, which i want to do too. so many things so little time. will post pics when i get a chance( Im a more visual person too)
