Looking good, I bet you are excited to test out that winch! I have a request. I was noticing your roof rack setup is mounted on what looks like a track on the roof. Is that factory or like a Thule or Yakima setup? Is the roof rack easily removable? Can I get some closer pictures of the track and mounts? I know its alot of questions but I am looking to do something similar on my Dodge and want to see what it would entail. Thank you.

Thanx man! The roof rack is a Surco system that i got off of AutoAnything.com. it came with the rails that are semi-perminitly mounted to the roof (involves drilling into roof). The rack could be removed from the rails, just a couple small bolts holding each leg on. With the way i have the light wired, i cant take my rack off with out redoing wiring. I'll try to post the link to my build thread on a different forum, i'm on my cell phone at the moment.

looks like imma have to find one of those hitch extenders... it wont fit the front once the BullMaxx is on. rear fits fine. still have to run the power cords, but will do that once i get back from the field at the end of the exercise. also picked up 3 cans of Rustolium truckbed coating spray cans. gonna do the BMaxx as well.

if your asking why i removed all the stuff from the roof? that pic was taken before i put the roof rack and all that stuff on top.

I think he is referring to the large roof mounted boob canon which is visible in the second picture of your original post.

I see that we have the same tastes, as I also installed a large boob canon on my truck (although yours looks like it was made in China, if you know what I mean ;D):

had to get something out of the geerage, and there was the winch stareing at me. been in and out of the field, so havent had a whole lot of time. when i first got the hitch on, the winch cradle went right in, but was snug to the bumper. wasnt shure the cradle would fit with the BMaxx on. well, it does, but need to notch the pass side handle on the cradle, and relocate the controlbox some how...

and yes, the winch cradle is crooked...

this solves the concern i had about the winch cradle fitting with the bump on. no need for a hitch extender

the winch still had a lean to it, but its not from the BullMaxx pushing it down. the truck is sitting on an incline, down from the garage out. its just how the winch sits in the hitch reciever.

Why is one side of the cradle longer than the other? Was that custom on your part, or did you buy the cradle? Just curious. I like it!

smittybilt's cradle. got it thru 4wheelparts when i ordered the SB winch. thats how it came. my guess, cuz one side of the winch is longer?
