NEW iPhone 3G S

I can't really get excited about the 3GS (I've got a 3G). Nothing really new. I upgraded to 3.0 yesterday and even that was just meh. I do wish I had a videocam and better camera, though. But not a $200 wish.

I'll wait for the 4G before the upgrade.

I finally was able to determine that we 1st Generation iPhone users qualify for the "new customer" discounted cost.

Looks like ATT got steamrollered by their ignoring you 3G buyers, so the are now offering discounted upgrade pricing for a limited time:

http://www.appleinsider.com/article...3g_s_prices_for_early_iphone_3g_adopters.html

AT&T on Wednesday published an open letter to customers on its iPhone 3G S upgrade eligibility program in which it announced that, for a limited time, it will offer early iPhone 3G adopters the opportunity to purchase an iPhone 3G S at the same $199 and $299 price points as new customers.

Microsoft had a program to pay cash back when you purchase an
item you searched for using MS Live Search. Microsoft recently renamed
the search program, "Bing," and the web site became http://www.bing.com

Bing continues to offer the cash back program. Bing can get you a 35%
discount for the new iPhone 3GS when you pre-order through the
ATT web site. Details here

http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/hot-deals/930265/

Note that this is for new ATT accounts only. Folks like me with a
current ATT account have to pay a lot more to upgrade to the new iPhone.

Has anyone tried this?
I am reading the BING terms and conditions now and they are a bit confusing.

So......
Going to AT&T to buy 2 iPhone 3Gs and a 2100 minute family talk plan I find out that the AT&T site will only allow you to purchase one iPhone per HH.

Going to Apple to do the same thing I find that you can buy multiple iPhones but the same family plan is $10 per month more expensive.

hmmmmmm!

I've used Microsoft cashback to great success in the past. However, I couldn't get this offer to work. I ended up paying the full amount I'm afraid.

It's a new paradigm of synergistic pricing tiers to maximize return on investment in dynamic brand equity using human capital.

Got my new iphone 3GS 32 GB today. It's my first iphone, so I don't have anything to compare it to, but so far I'm loving it. I was expecting a huge meltdown because of all the demand for the new phone, but it was thankfully uneventful.
