....and another good point. I should have mentioned that one myself. The XJ manages to carry all of her stuff back and forth to college so its very convienient for her....and Dad.

Another good point folks. Thanks again for your thoughtful comments.

I swung by the Jeep dealership yesterday. The ink is already dry on the sale of the dealership. Christy's is now called Tucson Jeep. The sale was nothing to get overly excited about. Most of the Patriots and Libertys had about $2K off the sticker. I don't consider that much of a sale since I usualy expect to get that much off when I purchase through the internet anyway.

I liked the vehicles but since it wasn't a screaming deal, I'll probably wait until next spring to actualy purchase. More time to shop around and figure out the best fit for my daughter.:arabia:

We had a Patriot come along on a trail ride a couple of months back. It did pretty good. He wasn't scared to take it anywhere.

Well, we didn't have the patience to wait until next spring. :sombrero: I took my wife and daughter down and we drove both the Patriot and the Liberty. For my daughter's planned use and her personal preference, the Patriot won out over the Liberty. The 08 Liberty's are nice but a little too large and use too much gas for her needs.

The patriot is fun to drive and has enough off road capabilty to handle the average back road exploring and winter moutain trips to get to the ski areas (or Snow boarding area in her case).

We agreed on a price and I plan to order an 08 with the features we want next week. It should take about 8 weeks for delivery.:safari-rig:

I haven't told my 4Runner yet...not sure how it will react to sharing the driveway with a jeep.:sombrero:
