Just picked up this guy and super happy to have it.
A couple of bummers and a few questions on how to make it better.
Parking Brake: It's gone! Handle, cables, everything. I want the brake to work so I going to have to figure out the best/cheapest/quickest way to make that happen. Of course, I would love to have OEM parts but they are pricey from the limited amount of time I have put into looking them up. Question is, is it common to retro junkyard brake handles/cables from basically anything in a yard? I don't care too much about keeping it stock and authentic. That would be cool but not a deal breaker.
Lights: I have just stumbled into this world and was surprised when I got home that the "lights" are just reflectors. No lights. I am assuming that most people just grab some LED combo lights and attach. I will research this more though.
Wheels/Tires: I would like to get a more modern tire on there and probably some modern rims. I have read a bit about using older Jeep wheels. Just wondering if I just bought say some 5 hole Pro Comps on a 5x5.5 pattern I would be good to go. I don't have any Jeep wheels to try out. Also, I am thinking a 31" tire or 255/70/r16 ish
