Newbie question about import rules

And I'm wondering what happens in a couple years when the new diesel regs start to kick in for CA. Could get ugly!

The only way around the Calif. retrofit particulate trap regs for those people unlucky enough to be Calif residents with Mogs will be that RVs are serendipitously excluded.
My thinking is that conversion to an camper is the "highest and best use" of a Unimog.

Older Mogs 416 & 421s (Troops Career & Ambulance variants) are being cut & melted down here these days. Military is doing regular auctions and very few are left. I think last Model was 1986 or 1987. These Military mogs have hardly done 45k KMs, running motor & axels with no rust since they are mostly used in Cholistan or Rohi Desert of Pakistan. Early this year I saw many being auctioned at the price tag of $3000-$3500 depending upon the condition.
