I believe this is a Javier. I know folks generally stay away from the vans. Do you think there is similar risk with this?

I assume Javier does all the 4x4 vans I see on CL around here. Looks like a similar setup to his vans but the wording of the ad seems like a private party and the upgrades are all the right ones. Maybe started as a Javier? What have you heard about his vans? I'm curious because they look nice and have seen them advertised locally for years.

If anyone wants me to look at it for them just message me. Doubt it will last long and may even email him to see if he wants a 7.3 crew cab as part trade.

I'd be interested in the Custom rear bumper. I wonder if he made it? Looks like an Aluminess but I assume steel?

Do you all think it is well priced for its age / build etc?
Also, who is Javier and what are his builds/ issues?
Thx

I don't know anything about Javier, but.... I see a decent number of these for sale in Texas. If the truck is as clean as the seller says I don't think it is overpriced. I see ones comparably priced with no winch, bumpers, etc. However, many of them have the 6.0 engine (often with deletes, etc).

thanks for your insight... pardon my ignorance... whats does Often with Deletes mean? Obviously a 7.3l is best over 6.0 but what else should one be worried about?
... many thanks.

These engines come stock tuned way down. Deleting things from the engine can give you better mpg, power, etc. for example, the heater plug is only used when it is -20f. The plug warms the air for the turbo but also disrupts its, if you are not in -20 degree weather , you don't need it.

This truck seems to have been built with all the right/best parts. A couple hours and couple hundreds bucks for a full ford diagnostic would be a good idea but even at full asking you could put a couple grand into it and still not be upside down. These things seems to becoming more valuable. It will sell fast if it hasn't already.
