OBD2 scanners for offline use?

I have a 2016 JKU. I am looking for an OBD2 scanner/ios app for diagnostics when I have problems off-road.

The research I have done has led me to the JScan app. It supposedly has Jeep specific capabilities. While reading up on it there was a mention of needing to be online for verification of the VIN. That's not going to work where I go wheelin'.

I have in the past used OBDwiz and FORscan software with a laptop, and both required online access for verification.

Are there any scanners/ios apps that do not need online access to properly function?

Extra points if it has JK specific capabilities.

If not a scanner/app, are there any standalone scanners that plug into the OBD2 port and do not require online access for proper function?

I use JSCan all the time, it's brilliant.
I have licenses for my 2011 JK, 2021 Gladiator and 2021 Wrangler EcoDiesel.

It needs to be "online" the first time you use it with your Jeep - you buy a license for your VIN and you need internet for that.

Afterwards, you can be as remote as you possibly like and it continues to work flawlessly.

Highly, highly recommend.
