I put in a few more hours over the last two weekends, I would have gotten more done this weekend but my neck and shoulders are acting up and pretty sore so I took it easy.

Doors welded just waiting for skins and latches. Also mounted the RTT to the new rails on the roof.

Ceiling was reinforces and then tacked with a million tacks to the roof.

Looking on ebay right now at water tanks, I am thinking of a 30 gallon tank with a sureflow pump.

Looking on ebay right now at water tanks, I am thinking of a 30 gallon tank with a sureflow pump.

I have a friend who just picked up one of those pumps...they are excellent. We have one in our Coachman Tent Trailer, 4 years works excellent so far. Self primes quick too, even if it is a little loud. 30 gal is lots, I think we only have 25 in our Tent Trailer.

Like the LED lights and brackets with the speed holes.

Looking good. Any idea how much it weighs so far?

Im going to say with the rtt as it sits 400-500 lbs. The bare frame with tires was about 150lbs, with the tent about 110lbs, the sheet metal says 200lbs on the invoice.

I am shooting for about 1100-1200 loaded for camping. I think that is doable. As it sits now I have about 80lbs tongue weight, so even with an empty trailer it should track nicely.

Spent a few hours this weekend and got the rear tailgate on and primed and painted the main color.

Couple 300 pounds of weld, shell be pretty cool. LOL How come you did an interior panel on the frame as opposed to an exterior shell? curious. It is a unique idea I admit that, Keep it going...

I probably got a good 5 lbs of weld on that thing, I did the panels on the inside as its different than most and I kind of like the look.

WD, did you design/build your kitchen shelving inserts? What is the material?

Not yet, I am leaning towards having the kitchen at the back again, as my tongue weight is a little higher than I would like. The fridge slide will be steel as I know I don't have room under it for a wood bottom, but the cooking area I might make out of wood to save weight and it would be cheaper easier to make.

That's funny you bring up the Blitz guys, I was just talking about it today with a co worker. You still have a VW?

It's been a busy month at the shop, lots of new equipment and moving stuff around so I havent had a lot of time to work on it.

I got the water tank, pump and heater in. Planning on installing it all this week and possibly test it this weekend.

Its a 30 gallon tank, sureflow pump and the L5 heater.

Nice setup. I am picking up the very same kit...well a smaller tank, but the pump and heater combo will be the same. They work amazingly well, my buddy has one we used about a month ago. Nice hot water, no muss no fuss.
