Okaloacoochee State Forest Slough- Pic Heavy

How many miles of trails are there out that way?
Are they all open like in the pictures you show?
I'm tired of the narrow trails out in the Ocala forest.

well all of the dirt/forest roads are open, with wetlands on both sides 75% of the time, but they get wooded when u pass through a hammock but it is only briefly. all the roads are in great condition, not even a pothole and are smooth enough for an RV in some areas near the camp grounds.

the only actual legal offroad trails were the ones where i had my truck in the water which was at most 2 miles long. even then it is just a 4x4 "recommended" road, but with the conditions i drove it, it is a necessity.

if you want a change in scenery you can spend a few hours or camp down here. if you're looking for wheeling then stick to Ocala for sure!

^ mustang loop is the only trail on there as far as i know. i drove nearly everything else and the several other strands of forest roads a few miles on both sides of this main cluster.

Looks like good times :coffeedrink:

While I don't hate snakes... I don't think I could ever purposely catch them in the wild--I'd probably find a venomous one on accident :yikes: LOL :snorkel:
