So did anyone know what that double fenced area was at Gold Hill. It almost looked like something you would see at a zoo, maybe they kept a bear or mountain lion in there at one point in time?

Ya know, I could almost imagine it being a zoo or cage. The central lockup has no mining efforts, I can only imagine it was to keep something in? The Calleo local that gave me the tour last year didn't seem to know, though I don't know that we specifically asked him? I'd love to know if anyone digs up info.
