At this spot heard Elk bugling most of the night and early the next morning...(kept on waiting for a high caliper bullet to go zinging into camp) :yikes:

That looks awesome! Where is that?

Thanks man!

Idaho. Did a run up to Stanley, then Yankee Fork (dredge picture) over to Challis, up to Salmon, down to Craters of the Moon, then Pine/Featherville...out through Anderson Ranch....back to Boise.

Great pics BTW!

Thought so! A bunch of my family are old school Jackson Hole people so that zone is my old stomping ground. We lived in Driggs for a couple years until it was time for a slightly milder winter and the sunny CO days that I'm so accustomed too. I still have a soft spot for SE Idaho though, I could see spending a couple summers there sometime in the future.

It is all new to me, moved here from AZ about 2 years ago...some good stuff! We almost moved to CO since I have been going there on vacation for the last 20 years, she used to live in Rifle for a stint, but Idaho won out...parts of ID remind me of CO.

Winters aren't too bad in the Treasure Valley area...I am originally from PA...they are easy peazy compared to back there.

Our 85,85 and 87. All 3 have made the trip to Ouray from Tn. The red one 3 times, the 4runner twice. Not a very comfortable ride but no breakdowns on the 2600 mile round trip. A testament to the quality of these early Toyotas.

My 1985 4runner interior setup hasn't changed much in 11 years of sleeping in the back on random weekend adventures. Latest was fishing last weekend on the North Carolina coast.

Showed its age when the rear window stopped working, stuck down as soon I got to the camp site.

My old '92 out at lake pleasant here in AZ. I bought it back in high school in Denver, moved to AZ for school and traded it in for my '04. Can believe I drove on 5 cylinders and no AC in this truck for a few years. Countless trips around Arizona and Colorado. I sometimes miss that truck. But I would rather have 4 doors and AC for my little family.

The "FunRunner". 88' 22re 5 speed. I remember the day my folks bought it from the dealership, I was 5 years old. I basically grew up in it since it was my families primary vehicle. I bought it from them when I was 16 and it survived my high school years of seeing how big of tires a 4 banger could turn. It survived high school welding shop and what I could tack onto it. It took me all over western North America for fun and work. It has never broke down or left me stranded. Now my kids love it and are bummed we can't take the "tuck" places because I just pulled the engine for a full rebuild at 270k. I plan to run this thing until the wheels fall off.
