Opinions? JackRabbit Tonneau

Thinking on options. My question relates to option 1 and these are in no particular order. This is just me working through the options open to me.

Option 1: Rack system with RTT, covering bed with the Full Metal Jackrabbit Spring Assist Retractable Tonneau Cover.

Option 2: I already have a stepped topper and am considering mounting RTT above it on rack OR drawer system with foam mattress - 6' bed though and I am 6' making t a bit tight with the GF too.

Option 3: Flip-pac

Here is one link to the Jackrabbit:

And a review:

Does anyone have any experience with these? Waterproof? All opinions appreciated.

Not knowing the Jackrabbit first hand, conceptually I like option one the best. I have a rack now and am constantly amazed at it's utility.

IMO, I would reconsider the Jack Rabbit. Having experience selling this particular cover (and the rest of Pace Edwards' products), I have found that the downfall is when it snows or we get an ice storm. Most of the time the cover works fine, but the cover has a tendency to come off track if ice builds up in the rail system. It is then a pain in the MMM to re-align it. For some people, this wouldn't be an issue, but I see that you live in Utah.

The upside to this cover, is the security aspect. As far as being waterproof, they aren't too bad.

Personally, I like option 2 (especially with a drawer system!)
