We have wanted to get our Apex 8 LB on the scales for some time. On a recent trip to Jacksonville, we stopped at the CAT Scale along I-10 in Lee, Florida. We were completely loaded to go camping with 3/4 tank of fuel. The 30# LP tank was about half full. We also had approximately 50 gallons of fresh water on board. We were carrying both of the Honda 2000 generators (one in the camper, the other in the truck). The refrigerator was full. Neither of us were in the truck when the weights were registered.
We first weighed the truck and Apex 8 LB together. The total weight was 11,400# (5240/6200). We then removed the Outfitter from the truck, and immediately reweighed the truck solo. The truck weighed-in at 8,060# (4780/3280).
That means that our 2011 Outfitter Apex 8 LB weighs 3,380#. We feel that carrying only minimal fresh water on the highway will get us under 3,000#
