I also plan on attending but my vehicle is not completely ready; it should be fine for just me to travel and sleep. Do they frown upon sleeping in vehicles???

So a question for those across the pond. How would you classify a Defender with roof tent when you check into a camp ground or RV site? in the UK its a defender, in Europe its an Autocar, in USA????

It would probably sound similar to this, "You talk kinda funny. Where you from? And what the heck is that thing on top a your Jeep?" If you have a snorkel it only goes down hill... but does offer hours of endless amusement.

Yeah figured its 20foot long and is bright yellow with snorkel tree sliders and shed loads more!!
Was just trying to get an idea on costs in cam grounds so budgeting on RV costs so hopefully will be cheaper.

A vehicle with RTT is still a tent. RV/ camping places should charge you be tent rate, you usually pay more for an RV due to electricity and water hookups.

Super! Just remember to drive on the correct side of the road. ;)

Are you trying to start another international incident, Mr Blue?? Hmmm?

I mean its obvious... Pommy colonies (plus Japan!) all drive on the correct side of the road, all the rest of you merely drive on the right side.:victory:

HB, how can I respond to that? It's even worse in Australia. Not only do you drive on the wrong side of the road but your toilets flush backwards...

The XTC's will be out in force. Extreme Truck Campers. We will be put in a pen together to smell each others' behinds. Should be a dozen or more hard and soft side truck campers from far and wide in attendance. This starts another chapter in the saga of, "run whatcha brung". Our recent trip over the Mojave Road in truck campers: click on pic for short clip

regards, as always, jefe
