Picacho short run

Since I've been living in Yuma for the past year and half I've never taken a rip up to Picacho statepark and since I was bored today decided to had up that way :safari-rig: .
Kind of cool area in a since besides it being a littel barren and the last portion of the road before the park I wouldn't want to caught in a flash flood.

I know it's not as exciting as other trips/runs but it is what it is and was good. Now I just need a rally car for that road.

I love that place. Great pics. You're right about not wanting to be there in a flash flood. Once inside the park area you get 10 feet from the river in some spots and climb over canyons with steep drop offs. It's a great place that i hope never gets shut down. We'll be heading through there on our trip back from El Camino Del Diablo.

Went back today and found some fishing spots unfortunately the BLM has access to them closed for some remodeling of sorts and won't open them back until Feb. 15, 2009 but you can still access them the main boat launch.

Went back today and drove though the entire to Indain Pass Road and then drove back the same way. Ended up hitting up Bear Falls, which will need another trip to see ifI can get approve them for some more exploring and Taylor Lake at least what I could get to.

On to the photos:

Total mileage this trip from my apartment to Picacho and back roughly 74 miles. The next trip I take out that will be on the other side of the river and roughly 140 miles (scouting out for a camping trip) but I need to fix my leaking CV Joints first.

Diffinetly a good time.:wings:
