4x4 Expedition Camper Van / Overland Vehicle NOW SOLD

www.pinzgauer.4x4man.com

£10 000

Made by Styer Puch of Austria who also manufacture Mercedes G Wagon, the Pinzgauer 710K was built for the Swiss army as a radio truck. It has a 2.5l air-cooled engine, selectable four wheel drive, hi and low range gears and locking front and rear differentials. New BFG Mud-terrain tyres fitted last year, stainless steel exhaust.

Less than 43,000 miles from new.

The truck is a similar size to a VW t4 or T5 but drives more like a Volkswagen bay window van.

It is often compared to a Landrover, but the mechanics are very different. It is only slightly longer than a Landrover 90 yet has more internal space than a Landrover 110.

For camping it has a full size single bed, kitchen area with table top, storage drawers and single burner gas stove. LED lighting, usb power points, storage trays, built in heater runs from main fuel tank and 230v mains power from an inverter.

Can be sold with all expedition equipment including additional command frame tent, hi-lift jack and recovery equipment, spare fuel and water jerry cans.

At today's exchange rate, £10,000 is about $15,300 US dollars.

Please tell us the year of manufacture of the Pinzgauer. This will affect how feasible importation to USA will be.

Basically any of the ex Swiss Pinzgauers are importable to the US. Most you see will be early to mid 70's, and fewer will be up to the early 80's. Sometimes a mid 80's model will pop up but they are more rare. The import laws in the US allow anything over 25 years. Ca. registration is another story and should be kept to 1974 and under.

And it's ex SWISS, not from Sweden (Swedish), which is way north and not in Europe.

This is well-known rig and should be a great buy for anyone looking for a Pinz.

All Pinzgauer info you ever need is here, somewhere: www.real4x4.com

Take it to the USA via Iceland. The truck has just completed it's second Iceland expedition. It is an ideal vehicle for touring the rough highland roads of Iceland.

The Pinzgauer camper is ideal for couples. Miss Pinz and I stayed in the truck for two months whilst touring Scandinavia!
