I am looking for the lowest profile system available. I figure others have run into similar issues so what have you used?

Here is one that I found, but it doesn't look like it is standalone system, more like an additional layer of protection. http://www.thesureseal.com/faq/

Yes, I believe the ExPo user 'NeverEnough' used a couple of those on his truck/trailer build.

I used them in both the trailer and camper. The trailer has seen quite of bit of action with excellent results and the camper has been thoroughly tested, but not on the road. They are especially nice for showers because of the low profile. Since my shower was built on top of the main camper floor, I didn't want to have a major step up to the shower floor. It's just over six inches, and I used most of the space for a storage drawer. I use a grey and black water tank in the camper, and single holding tank for the trailer. The run is long enough in the trailer that it would almost take a roll-over to get black water close to the valve.

Verkstad I actually came across a forum where they were talking about upgrading a camper that came with a valve from the factory to this new waterless trap. They seemed quite happy. And yeah.... I can see myself leaving the valve open at the wrong time way to easily

Thanks for the update NeverEnough, looks like I will try these valves out as well. Hopefully they are trouble free in the long run.
