I saw it too
Yeah once you see it it's impossible not to. I like the fact you can see it as 1 or 2 or very skull like....interesting photo. Trailers' okay too. ;>) So why was it called Newspaper Rock? I imagine the formation looked different over the years.

I like the consistency of Mark's convictions. I've come to expect his expression of an aesthetic that I believe raises the bar beyond just having something we drag along behind our vehicles, and creates an expectation that we should either live up to, or reject on merits that we can defend.
.
Many have done so, on the simple and perfectly justifiable grounds that they can't afford to do so, don't have the same appreciation, etc.
.
Still, I think each and every one would agree that expanding the possibilities is of merit, particularly since the OP may not have as much exposure to other threads as others.
.
Keep it up Mark! :)

thank you....some how I have missed this trip altho I wondering if I just don't remember doing it when I was younger. I have done so much of that area and so wish I had taken photos. It seems to me an ironic concept that we get so mad when people of our time add to the record as we just become part of the "Newspaper" for generations to come....maybe in a 1000 years.

Are we or should we be just part of the continuity of history? bD

60Dan - that is a nice looking turbo diesel - I just spent 2 weeks in Uganda bouncing along the dirt roads in one of those. I am a jeep guy - but I was very impressed in it's off road capabilities and durability. The owner/driver had put the rig through some long rigorous miles but it's still chuggng along. Don't think he ever put it in 4wd - on trails guys here in the states would be in 4 low...
Enjoy

I still have a lot of mods I want to make but for now I'm out of money and it's useable as is.

Thought you fellas would like an update from Fort Yargo State Park.
