Yes, it's on an AEV roof rack. It's very solid. I don't even notice it at highway speeds.

I made it since no one makes a low profile rack for the XJ. It's similar to a JCR but all one piece with much more adequate gutter mounts.

Out for it's first 4x4 test drive, basically a functional jeep now, still working through a few issues here and there. Tube fenders will be this weekends project, then I'll start outfitting her for some longer trips.

Hey I noticed you are rocking a Smittybilt RTT. How are you liking it? I work at 4WP and they aren't a popular sell here at my store we've only sold one and I didn't get to install it so I've never actually seen one open to scope out the quality. Thinking of picking one up cause I get a killer discount haha

Wow!!! That full size Cherokee is AWESOME!!! And I've always had a soft spot for Scramblers. Cool pictures!
I think you'll be happy with their tent if you go with it. I've had a few and it's nearly the same as a CVT or what not. The poles are a little smaller than their tents, and the cover is definitely a big cost saver vs a zip on cover, but that's the main difference.
