Sweet Ride!

Thanks, Revor/Keith!I bought this rig (new) in '91 after selling my '75 TLC FJ-40. I wish I had it (RRC GDE) with me when I passed through Moab during the LR 60th!

Code:
I LOVE the way you stowe your shovel! Great rig.

Thanks, AFSOC. I put the shovel where a short guy like me could reach it whenever I needed it (more frequent than the much heavier Hi-Lift on the roof rack). I McGuyver'd the shovel holder from an 'emergency pipe repair kit' (for the shovel handle) and an 'electrical ground plumbing fitting' (for the shovel blade). If you find these in your local Ace Hardware store you'll see how they work for this application (and tres inexpensive to boot!).

Left Friday morning in my 91 GDE for a couple of days in Anza Borrego (SoCal)! Not a major expedition but a nice therapeutic solo run. Great weather, rarely saw another vehicle, spectacular sunrise!

That is a nice looking rig! The third pic is fantastic. Makes me want to get out and camp soon.

This is my old mans LR. Although not mine, I've spent much time in and under this and many previous ones!

Most of these are on a trip we did through China and Tibet. Some are back in Australia, where it lives a different life as a ute!

Nice pics everyone.

Haha, No the trusty sand anchor was brought out, unfortunately its not a very good one and needs to be pre-buried before winching! Digging holes at 14,000 feet is hard work!

My truck is currently in the middle of a restoration. Everything striped down and being repainted Arles Blue. And adding a few modifications to make her run the way I prefer.
