Post Xmas Laguna Hansen to San Filipe (Baja)

Considering a post-xmas Baja run. Specifically Laguna Hansen then San Filipe (dependent on weather).

Has anyone done a rumored J*&p trail from Laguna Hansen directly east to Mex 5?

Also, any water in the lake these days?

We went the other way, from Laguna Salada up to L. Hansen. It was slow and bumpy! We never really made L. Hansen - several locked gates and ranchos in the way. We bailed out and dropped down to Valle T. It is doable, just not as direct as it might appear based on maps and photos. There are some posts on Baja Nomad about it as well.
