Wow, great looking GW! I love those things! I go to Chile every September for close to a month and have never seen a Grand Wagoneer down there before. Were they sold in Chile or did you import it? Also, where are some of those shoreline shots taken? I did a trek from Santiago up to Antofagasta last September before going inland into the interior Atacama. Some of those pictures look like familiar areas like the stretch of coast between Taltal and Antofagasta. Great pictures! Can't wait to get back there in another month again! Cheers!

Kristian,
No, GW´s were not exported to Chile. This one was imported directly from the US, by the previous owner, back in 1989.
I bought it from him 3 years ago, and I spent about 7 months making the drivetrain swap. My goal was to have a stock looking GW, but with a powerful and reliable engine.....that means Chevy LSX....:ylsmoke:

The trip was through the coast between Bahia Inglesa (coast from Copiapó), down to La Serena.
Why you come every sept to Chile ?? bussiness ??......next september contact me, maybe we can have a bear at my house...I´m in Santiago.

Sebastian, it would be great to meet up for some beers. What part of Santiago do you live in? We usually sneak down for a couple of nights out. I go there for business, well if you call it that. haha I'm a ski coach, we train at La Parva. I'll be down there from September 4th till the 20th this year. Its always good to meet some more people down there!
