Question about Solar battery's ?

I have a 24 volt system with 1200 watts. Now looking to add battery's.

Start with a set of (8) Lithium 120 Ah,3.2V 3C and then add to that. $ 1424 per set then X 2 = $2848
Or, just go to (8) of 240 Ah 3.2V 3C ? $2900 per set.

Is it better to have the lower Ah's ?

Thanks,Randy

Does not really matter, so long as you are avoiding paralleled strings as much as possible.

If cells are lower Ah capacity than your overall bank, then group your cells in parallel first at the 1S level, then put those groups in series for a single string.

For a mission critical use case maybe go to two strings for easier redundancy, but more than that not a great idea, unbalanced flows uneven wear shorter lifespan.

Winston, CALB, GBS, Sinopoly, and A123 (now Lithium Werks / Valence / Super B) are the quality makers

Now adding CATL since they landed Tesla's business.
