Question for Toyota RTT owners regarding logistics.

Perfect. Just to be clear, it's possible to add some kind of lock to that right? If it's that easy to remove (and without tools), I definitely wouldn't feel comfortable leaving it on in the street. I have seen some Thule racks have a lock on them that require a key?

The lock goes where the circle plug is in this pic. The whole end cap comes off and has an Allen key attached to it. Thats what you use to tighten/loosen the strap that goes around the stock roof bars.

Thank you Enzo for all your help. If I may ask one more question, is it only a standard allen key? As in, could any Joe and his buddy from the street use an allen key to unlock it and then throw the tent on their truck? Or do you unlock it with a key or something first, then use the allen key to loosen the straps?

I'd be totally ok with 16-17 with a RTT on my Tacoma. I average 16.5 right now with the awning and the rocket box.
