Yeah that's what I'm saying every time I look at other people's pictures on here...this site is a good inspiration for reckless behavior :wings:

I noticed your local is BC...I assume that British Columbia, I can't wait to see the ocean up there in the Northwest...I love the desert but some water would be nice!

Snafu, me and Stein are planing a trip for this summer as we speak. I am not sure how close we will be to the ocean, other that a quick stop in Vancouver to get the rig tuned up. But I will promise you and all the other forum members lots of pics when we get back. Cheers, and keep those pics coming.:1888fbbd:

Dude I give you big props on going out by your self. My girlfriend doesnt like the idea of traveling alone so right now im limited to outings but my offer stands that coming this fall Im in to take which ever trail. Either in my jeep or bronco II. Depends on type of trip.:sombrero: Those are some killer pictures you took.

Thanks dude! I've got tons more here and all over other places like this

I just can't sit still!!

I never find too many girls that enjoy what I like so I'm almost convinced to get a Husky as my travel buddy...much more fun probably:)

Snafu, what lens are you using? or are you splicing into panorama? Nice rig and great shots!

Thanks!

I wish I had more lenses! I only have one...can't remember the exact size...wanna say it's a 40-200

But yes, I'm cheating and using photo merge in Photoshop 3 and then cropping the merged images. =D

Alright, now things are back on track.

I spent some time in junkyards only to be disappointed...I couldn't find any newer Dodge trucks to scavenge some headlight parts from. After ordering them online I ripped out all of the HID equipment and cranked up the lights.....still no passenger side.

I tried several more things and got nowhere. I finally gave up and took it to a shop and found out that I needed to have the computer reset in order for the light to work...sure enough its all good to go now. Soooooo the lesson of this story?

I'm getting an older rig to play with someday that doesn't have electronics!!!!!!

Hey those are awesome pics man! What camera/setting are you using for those?

Thanks! It's an Olympus E-520

I couldn't get the white balance adjusted for the different lightning strikes so I put it on auto. F-Stop was about pretty long...1.6 I think

I'm still learning so these are something I'm trying to improve. One thing I realized is that a tripod would really really help! I had a sore neck from leaning up against the truck and looking up at the sky for an hour straight trying to get some pics.

So I just completed a trip to Colorado Part 2! I took the truck over Ophir and Engineer Pass and escaped with out anything major...just a few more pinstripes and a WHOLE LOT of dust. I plan to put together a trip report since it was because of other member's reports that I came up with this trip.

I recently found a camper shell on craigslist for dirt cheap. It's not perfect, I have no keys for the lock, the latch doesn't really work, and the shocks that hold it open are blown. But that's nothing a 2x4 can't fix for now. I put together a sleeping platform in a few afternoons from pallet wood I hauled out from work. It all worked perfectly despite coming in last at the beauty contest.

Here's a few shots of how she looks now...right after making a new mount for whip I realized the CB is dead. Something internal is to blame, but none of the fuses popped...just going to hand it over to a guy at work and see if he can help me out.

As usual I hauled the kayak with me for the full 1500 miles...that kayak has seen more than most!! How many people do Engineer Pass with a kayak??!!
