Ramcharger specs are out

I'm at a loss as to why Ford, Chevy, and Dodge don't ever seem to want to go back to platforms like this

I believe market research shows that buyers aren't really interested, 30 years ago people wanted shorter wheel bases, but current market buyers want more room, the limited number of buyers for modern ramcharger/trail duster are probably not enough to entice the automakers.

I have heard of some folks complaining about the weight of using the 3.6 but some of the articles have stated it’s the cheapest motor they make and it bolts right in so it was the cheapest and quickest option development wise.

Yep. Look at the take rate of 2 door Bronco's & Wranglers vs 4 doors.

Personally I loved the 2 door Full size Broncos / RamChargers & K5's. Even owned a 86 Ramcharger.

But, I guess the market spoke and that's why we now have Expeditions and Tahoes...

I'd take a 2-door Expedition Raptor for sure, except then I wouldn't because they'd slap a $120k price tag on it. I love my 4 door 6g Bronco but would have bought a 1/2 ton 2 door version with removable top/doors if Ford or Chrysler made one and would be more than happy. I've had a couple K5s that were great but I'm not a fan of anything modern GM produces so would skip right over it. I may pick up a nice mid-90s Bronco for my kids to run around in when they start driving in a few years.
