Recommendations for tires for the factory M416 rims?

Does anyone have suggestions for tires? I really wanted to replace with NDT's but I can't justify nearly $400 for tires on this trailer. Mine have great tread, but have a good amount of dry rot and I am worried about them. The CJ5 wheels I have on it with good tires just don't look right.

I'm partial to military 700-16 NDCC tires on these trailers. If you price shop you should be able to find Denman or STA brand for less than $300 for a pair, with tubes and tax.

www.surplusjeepparts.com out of pennsylvania. 130 per tire for new originals. I bought 3 of three of them - one for the spare. They run great!

When I bought my M101 CDN it had the stock Michelin X in the tub, and a nice brand new set of Cooper STT AT's on the stock rims. They were E Load Rated and were 215x85x16. Nice tires, but I wanted to swap out the wheels/tires to match the Jeep (spares) so I sold the Wheels and Tires to a friend with the same trailer.

They were not too expensive and a really great tire.
