We are more than close, as of last thursday the project has been complete. The replacement motor we got actually had a longer shaft so I had to add some plastic spacers and rubber washers to get the right depth of the gear to line up with the belt, and that worked out very well. The pinouts didn't have to be altered at all. We had to pull the gears off both new and old motors to swap, that was a pain, but we managed. Once we had it set in place, we tested and it worked fine. We then reassembled the entire unit, tested successfully again, reattached it to the vehicle, tested again. All good!
