Reuters report: Jeep to slow introductions of new models

according to Reuters, Jeep has slowed its timetable for introduction of new models:

Replacements for Compass and Patriot -- from
Spring 2016 to Fall 2017
Next generation Wrangler -- from early 2017 to July 2017
Grand Cherokee replacement From late 2018 to late 2018
New Grand Wagoneer -- from 2018 to 2020

I think they're focusing all of their efforts on the new high dollar competition for the Land Rover.

Or they're enjoying selling everything they have so well, they're going to ride it out and not saturate the market anymore.
 
Bad news for EU markets , as the Euro 5 diesel engine is banned starting january 2016 , this would mean we'll be without Jk's Crd for more than 1 1/2 year......

Reuters caught Jeep CEO Mike Manley on the golf course today. This time he said 2018 was a best-case scenario for the introduction of the mostly-redesigned Grand Cherokee, with 2019 or even later possible. This means Jeep won't offer a more expensive, more luxurious vehicle to compete with Range Rover and other European brands as soon as originally planned.

The Wrangler re-design, in contrast, is on track for 2017.

It's probably because their broke and every dollar is going to put Fiats on the road...there is a reason they are looking for a partner/buyer to merge with...
