*Rickashay's 04' Tundra* - A build of Compromises

Excited for the headlights. One question tho. Am I gonna lose high beam function ?

Negative. The FX-R's are bi-xenon so they have a built in solenoid that retracts the cutoff shield for high beam use.

I doubt it. Rickashay doesn't compromise! Oh wait... :coffeedrink:

LOL I see what you did there...

UPDATE

Got the diffs out today.... ready for the re-gear. Going to put the headers in while the diff is out to give more room too. Diff removal wasnt too bad. The front was a bit of a PITA but only took me 3.5 hours to get both out and it was effing cold in my garage.

WOW. in that case. I cant wait for the headlights.

still jealous of your headers. I need a set not want NEED lol

Headlight Update

Just wanted to let everyone in on the lights know, the headlamps have been ordered and I'm awaiting there arrival. Should be at my door in ~10 days. Thx

Looks like my diffs got bumped ahead in schedule. The re-gear starts tomorrow and will take a day or two. I work through this weekend but hoping to have the truck rolling within the next 2 weeks, with the headers installed. After that I REALLY need to get on my suspension, spring is around the corner and I need to get this truck setup in time. :Wow1:

Can't wait for the headlights!!

So what suspension are you going with or still working on it

can't wait to see this. :)

When you inevitably sell this one, dibs.

Lol. I've owned this truck for two years come April. I only owned my 3rd gen for 2-1/2 years and that was the longest I've ever owned a vehicle for. I am quite certain the Tundra will remain longer than any vehicle has thus far. I literally look forward to driving it on a regular basis. My Subaru kicks ***, but I still think about parking the Subaru in the garage on the weekends, just so I can take the Tundra out for the weekends! haha You should just buy one dude!

Same! haha lots of work to do and not enough time to wrench. Sorry for the snails pace.

Will be watching for that rear set up. I just hate its unsure on how much lift. Obviously it will depend on spring life and shackle length. All the crawlers in my area with 63/ run blocks as well.
